Kutahya Provincial Directorate of Ministry of National Education (Kutahya MEM) maintains coordination between educational institutions and is responsible for executing educational services on the basis of province and districts. The Ministry of National Education (MoNE) has provincial organizations in 81 cities in Turkey. The provincial administration is the extension of administration on education at local levels (provinces and districts). Each of the provinces and districts has Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü (Provincial National Education Directorate). These provincial directorates carry out education services on the basis of province and district. The functions of the Provincial Directorate of Ministry of National Education are education (teaching services), personnel services, administrative services, investment services (budget), research (planning, statistics, etc.), and inspection (guidance, inquiry services).In line with the public administration structure and functioning in Turkey; all private and public schools and institutions at preschool, primary, and upper secondary education and adult education levels are hierarchically affiliated to the Provincial Directorate of National Education. The province national education directorates implement the resolutions adopted by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) at local levels. Kutahya MEM is also responsible for the management and programming of overall education and training activities in Kutahya province. Besides, it aims to develop the social, cultural, and sports skills of pupils by organizing and offering activities at schools. Kutahya MEM’s main purpose is to contribute to the 2023 Education Vision of the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) by raising science-loving, skilled, and ethical individuals who take an interest in culture and are willing to use present and future skills for the well-being of not only Turkish nation but also for humanity. Today, the number of students at all levels (excluding higher education), is 99.749 the number of educational institutions is 581 and the number of teaching personnel is 7452 in Kutahya.R&D of Kutahya Provincial Directorate of Education (Kutahya MEM) has the cumulative expertise of several years concerning project cycle management vis-à-vis several EU projects and other projects with national and international institutions. It also carries a coordinating function through its network and its supervision function for international projects relevant to the province of Kutahya. The Kutahya MEM is made up of trained and experienced staff vis-à-vis different policy areas as well as the EU affairs. The Kutahya MEM will be totally committing itself to future participating projects. In order to achieve this, the Kutahya MEM will support the network it is a part of with its existing structure, network, and the part it plays in the decision-making processes of education at the provincial level. As such it will also promote the EU efforts for sustainable cooperation, awareness-raising as well as the visibility and dissemination of efforts in Erasmus+ programs.
